General Duties: Acting under the direct authority of the Plant Manager, all production personnel are responsible for performing their duties as instructed in the process work instructions and perform the duties in compliance with the requirements of IATF 16949.
Specific areas of responsibility :
1. Review and follow the process work instructions Communicate and review with team leader (cell leader) any changes in the process before start of production
2. Inspect all molds to assure they are in good working condition and prepared correctly for the shifts production needs Apply mold release so the inside cavity of the tool is coated adequately – and without over application
3. Maintain cleanliness (scrape/wipe) part surface and the land of the tool to assure there is not a buildup of mold release If necessary, blow shop air into cavity of the tool to thoroughly dry and wet mold release
4. Inspect the mix head before every shot to insure the nozzle is free of foam Properly position the mix head above the tool and inject the foam into the cavity of the tool.
5. Close tool or replace pour plug Once tool is in appropriate de-mold position, open tool and remove part carefully
6. Inspect part, if satisfactory and within the quality standards established by the organization and client specifications according to the quality samples If part is satisfactory set the part onto the appropriate table for assembly and packaging
7. When part does not meet the standards of quality - place part into scrap counter, communicate with your team to let them know there is a problem Report all problems to the team leader (cell leader) Keep your cell and work station clean and safe
8. Upon development of training and experience – perform all duties as required.
